Mr. Michael Cunningham
Western Sugar Project
June 6, 2011
wells. Varra will attempt to obtain access to monitor off-site wells in areas of concern. If a
complaint is received an assessment will be made as to the cause of the injury, if any. If any
adverse impacts are the result of mining operations, Varra will implement the most appropriate
remedy, which may include items a through d of this section. In all situations, the Division will be
contacted prior to implementing any corrective measures.
Item 5 - Varra Companies will continue to monitor water levels on a monthly basis and will
include these data in its annual report.
Item 6 - Varra will commit to installing two additional monitoring wells at the locations
presented on Figure 1. However, it should be noted that these wells will have little use other
than verifying model results once mining approaches the southern mine face as water levels will
be well below the Division's trigger point criteria.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact me at 970-493-7780.
Sincerely,
CGRS, Inc.

Joby L. Adams, P.G.
Principal/Hydrogeologist
