Finishing touches to complete the CPP and lab complex are
underway and these additions are needed.
The sizer slab is 20'x 20'x 12" thick reinforced concrete located under the P-1 belt adjacent to
the transfer tower to provide a foundation for the sizer equipment above the belt. The concrete
drain is about 100' long, 3' wide, and 6" thick reinforced concrete and will direct drainage from
the CPP pad and concrete slabs constructed south of the CPP building (per MR-374) to the
west around the base of the P-3 beltline berm and to ditch D5E-13. The concrete sample coal
bin is a three-sided concrete bin on a 10' x 10' x 8" thick reinforced concrete slab with each
wall being 4' high, 10' long and 8" thick. Coal samples not used by the lab for analysis will be
stored in the bin until hauled back to the coal stockpile or refuse pile, as applicable.
MCC would like to begin this construction this week, so your prompt review and approval of
this revision application would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at (970) 929-2238 or
by e-mail should you have questions regarding this submittal.
Sincerely,
Kathleen G.
