<br />Figure 1. Geometric configuration of grout holes, tunnels, Electrofracs, etc. <br />Operational Considerations: <br />Land Disturbance: There will be no new surface disturbance. <br />Drilling. The closely spaced grout holes will be water drilled using a conventional <br />mine borehole drilling rig. A similar rig will be used to drill the grout integrity test <br />holes. Because of their longer length, these holes may require direction control <br />utilizing a downhole drill motor. <br />Water Discharges: Water used for drilling will be extracted from surface water on <br />the property, using ExxonMobil's existing water rights. No drilling additives will be <br />used, and this water will be returned to the surface water system as part of the mine <br />outflow. <br />Hole abandonment. Closely spaced grout holes drilled under this Technical <br />Revision will require no abandonment. They will effectively be abandoned when <br />grouted. The grout integrity test holes will, when they are no longer needed, be <br />abandoned by filling with standard oil-field cement.
