MINED LAND RECLAMATION BOARD 110(2) ANNUAL REPORT
For Season 2010
COLORADO CALUMET COMPANY INCORPORATED
PERMIT NO. M-2006-034
Submitted: 2 June 2011
Summary:
Colorado Calumet Company Inc. operated mechanized equipment on the Blue Streak No.
2 in Teller County, Colorado from 15 through 17 July 2010 to produce amazonite, smoky
quartz, fluorite, goethite, and other related pegmatite mineral specimens. Machinery broke
down preventing operations planned for 7 days. A John Deere 690 track hoe was used. The
road connecting Site C with Site D was reclaimed. Only Site L remains open.
Map Depicting Operations:
Attached is a map which shows the four claims covered under this mining permit. The 14
permitted excavation sites are labeled by letters A through N and are indicated by dashed
lines, either rectangular or circular, on the map. An orange area within a permitted site
indicates an open excavation where work will resume during next season. Presently there
is one at Site L. Green shaded areas are excavations that have been refilled, recontoured,
and reseeded. Blue shaded areas indicate reclamation over 80 percent regrowth. Sites A
and B on Blue Streak No. 2 are considered to have 80 percent regrowth.
Current Disturbances (2010
A small prospect at Site C on the Blue Streak No. 2 was closed and reseeded.
Approximately 0.18 acre remains open at Site L on the Blue Streak No. 1. The access road
also remains open. No new acreage was disturbed.
Reclamation Accomplished to Date (Including 2010):
A total of 1.55 acres has been disturbed and reclaimed since 2006. This does not include
the access roads connecting Sites A, B, C, D, and E. The access road to Site D remains
open.
Reclamation Accomplished During 2010:
The access road connecting Site C and D was reclaimed as was a small prospect within the
road. This area was reseeded and contoured to prevent erosion.
