Response to Preliminary and Secondary Issues April 28, 2011 <br />Question #26- March 7,2011-Peter Hays, Tim Cazier <br />Please clarify the Applicant's definition of "roadway fill " in the R2 Inc report Does this apply <br />to only the road surface or also to the out slope fill <br />Response #26- March 7, 2011 Peter Hays, Tim Cazier <br />As used in the Geotechnical Reconnaissance report, roadwav fill is defined as fill, placed and <br />compacted as described in the Construction Work Plan, in the roadway footprint between the <br />underlying stiff natural soil or rock and the roadway subgrade It includes `out slope fill', but <br />only in the zone between the underlying natural soil/rock and the roadway subgrade <br />Question #27- March 7, 2011 Peter Hays, Tim Cazier <br />The reconnaissance report recommends the Applicant construct new fill slopes no steeper than <br />1.5.1. Exhibit D Mine <br />Plan (Attachment E-1) does not contain a road construction work plan and instead references <br />Exhibit 6.5 - Geotechnical Stability as the location of the work plan.
