Introduction
In 2007 Colowyo relocated Tri -State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc.,
(Tri- State) 138 kV power line to facilitate opening of the South Taylor pit for mining.
Colowyo worked in concurrence with Tri- State, the Bureau of Land Management
(BLM), and Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety ( CDRMS), to ensure
this relocation complied with all applicable state and federal regulations and was
permitted and approved by CDRMS under minor revision 87.
In June of 2010, Colowyo applied for Phase III bond release on 987.32 acres of the
West and East Pit respectively. The Tri -State relocated power line right of way
intersects the bond release area in the East Pit in Sections 3 and 10. Please see Figure
1.
Demonstration
The purpose of this evaluation is to demonstrate that Colowyo has no issues or interests
in the power line right of way and Tri -State does not object to the bond release. Figure
2 provides documentation from Tri -State releasing Colowyo of all interest in the power
line and expresses that Tri -State has no objections to the bond release application.
•
Exhibit 1A -2 Revision Date: 4/13/11
Revision No. TR -90
