Seneca 11 Mine June 2011
SL-5 Phase 11 Bond Release Request
allowable first hit herbaceous cover values (initial value for mountain brush) used in the success
evaluations for cover. The basis and calculation of the allowable first hit herbaceous cover is
presented beginning on page 10 of the revegetation success evaluation report by ESCO
Associates and Appendix 6 of the same report included in Attachment E - Revegetation
SuppotzkgDocumentatron .
Table L Vegetation Cover Sampling Summary, Phase II Bond Release Block and
Reference Area (RA), Seneca II Mine.
Total
Total First Hit
First Standing
Allowable Litter Rock Bare Soil
Area Hit Dead
Herbaceous (0/0) (%) (%)
Cover %)
(0/6)
Cover (%)

Phase II
Bond Release 44.4 40.0 0.05 37.4 3.1 15.1
Block
Mountain
71.5 12.4' 0.7 21.5 - 6.2
Brush RA
Sagebrush RA 71.1 44.7 2.3 19.4 - 7.3
' Final ratio adjusted cover value used in weight averaged standard. The sampling results and statistics for total first hit cover and allowable first hit
herbaceous cover are summarized below in Tables 2 and 3.
Table 2.
