Belleview Ave., Suite 1100
Englewood, CO 80111
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
Re: Klondike Prospect, NOI File No. P-2011-008, NOI is Approved and Reclamation Cost Estimate.
Dear Mr. Cappa,
The technical responses you provided to DRMS to address the technical issues appear to satisfy the NOI
requirements of this agency. All deficient items have been addressed adequately. The NOI has therefore been
approved, effective as of the date of this letter.
This office has estimated the reclamation costs associated with the project. The enclosed packet includes the detailed
tasks involved with the reclamation. The bond amount was estimated to be $10,857. Please review the packet and
contact me promptly if you notice any errors or omissions. Several assumptions were used in preparing the estimate:
1. Upon commencing your underground activities, there will be a requirement to install a grated adit door at
each portal. This reclamation requirement may be met at any time during the project, but before the site may
be considered for release.
2. There will be up to three underground drill holes that have caps and valves installed, in order to control
possible artesian flow. More drill holes are allowed, but these will be first, to verify whether such hydrologic
condition exists. For reclamation, the caps and valves will be removed, and the estimate includes costs for
plugging any three of the holes.
3. There will up to ten surface drill holes, but closure costs for only one hole open at a time. This also assumes
the hole will be dry, so closure involves backfilling the cuttings, then near-surface plugging.
4. There is a topsoil requirement involved, but only with the trench area reclamation. The estimate assumes
that 50% of the required topsoil will be available onsite, and the other 50% must be purchased, hauled, and
distributed.
5. The revegetation task only involves the trench area reclamation.
6. The rock removed from the portal area and underground will be tested for mineralization. The estimate
assumes that most of the rock will be benign and acceptable to leave on the (private) surface. No cost was
included for tramming the minimal amount back underground.
You must provide the bond on one of the forms approved for Hard Rock/Metal Prospecting NOIs, available on our
website: www.mining.state.co.us/. The bond documents should be sent to the Division's Denver office, see address
in the letterhead above. Please be reminded that no prospecting activity may begin until the Division has accepted
the bond. If you have questions specific to the bond forms, please contact Mary Rodriguez at the Denver office: 303-
866-3567 ext. 8138.
Office of office of
.. ? auinc.k"rnn4w...t.ll[?aag0,? 4?;;
.A..,oa i .,.,1 ?-Do?h.n7r?.,., l7ara vSar° r C mnrl.-
