DENISON MINES (USA) CORP.
2010 ANNUAL REPORT
Sunday Mine - M-1977-285
The Sunday Mines resumed operations in May 2007. The Sunday Mine was placed on temporary
cessation status on November 30, 2009. The mine remains in temporary cessation at this time.
In March of 2008, the Division provided notification to Denison Mines that the Sunday Mine is a
Designated Mining Operation. A proposed Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) was completed in May
of 2009 and the Division provided Denison comments in August of 2009 and again in January of 2009.
These comments have been addressed and a revised EPP has been submitted to the Division as of the date
of this report.
This EPP includes the results of the material characterization, drainage report, surface water, and ground
water evaluations.
Exploration drilling occurred in the spring and summer of 2009 and a total of 60 exploration drill holes
were completed, closed, and reclaimed. These holes were inspected in November 2010 and additional
seeding was completed at this time in areas where additional revegetation is not yet adequate. Additional
drilling is planned following satisfactory resolution of the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
remand and lifting of the current stay. Any drilling in 2011 will require BLM and DRMS approval.
A Weed Management Plan consistent with the requirements of San Miguel County and the BLM was
prepared for the Sunday Mines. Noxious weed control was conducted using pesticide for halogeten and
knapweed. Figures provided in the 2008 Annual Report show areas where pesticides are applied at the
Sunday Mines. Pesticides were applied in 2010 on May 16th, 17`h, and 28th. A Pesticide Application
Record (PAR) as submitted to the BLM on December 6, 2010 was also provided to DRMS at that time.
All work completed at the Sunday Mine in 2010 has been completed in conformance with approved
Division Mine Permits and Plans of Operation with the BLM.
No changes occurred in the Permit M-1977-285 area during the past year. Routine stormwater
inspections are ongoing as required by Denison's stormwater discharge permit with the Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). Routine maintenance was documented and
reported to CDPHE in the annual reporting required by the Colorado Discharge Permit held by Denison.
Updated mapping for the Sunday Mine was provided with the EPP submittal, and no changes have
occurred at the sites since this time.
