3. Slump of backfill was originally specified to be between five and seven inches. After a
discussion between Lyman Henn and WRS Compass, the specified slump of the backfill
was changed to be between 4 and 6 inches on April 3, 2008. The Contractor was notified
when slump was out of specification and adjusted the backfill accordingly by either adding
slurry or soil. The Contractor specifically maintained the slump on the lower side of the
specification so as to keep the toe of the backfill from constantly sliding into working area
when excavating.
4. The change in direction of the slurry wall at approximate station 47 +60 was originally
intended to be a cross but was turned into a radius corner. This radius began at
approximately station 45 +50 and was back on the original alignment by approximately
station 48 +00 (contractors stationing).
GAPROJECI7S\107021-000 Loveland Ready Mix Slurry Wall\R.
