As <br />required by Colorado law, whenever any part of any coal mine bond is to be released, all <br />interested parties must be notified. This letter is to notify you that Western Fuels- Colorado <br />is requesting partial release of the current bond amount for successful Phase 2 and 3 <br />reclamation of the New Horizon #2 Mine. The permit number is C -81 -008, which was <br />initially approved in 1981. All mine areas were backfilled, graded, topsoiled and reseeded <br />according to the approved reclamation plan. The requested bond reduction amount is to <br />be calculated by the Division of Reclamation, Mining, & Safety. <br />The general description of the property to be released is as follows: <br />T47N R15W - SECTION 31 (Phase 2)- W 1/2 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 (a portion of Benson Fast) <br />T46N R15W -SECTION 6 (Phase 3)- NE 1/4 "and <br />N 1/2 SE 1/4 and <br />E 1/2 NW 1/4 and <br />NE 1/4 SW 1/4 (portions of San Miguel Power, <br />Goforth, Benson, Moore, WFC, Staats) <br />T46N R15W - SECTION 6 (Phase 2) - NW 1/4 NW 1/4 (a portion of WFC /Garvey) <br />The parcel of land in question is located on the U.S.G.S. NUCLA Quadrangle. <br />
