Pineda <br />Director <br />Sage Creek Coal Company, LLC has applied for a bond release at the Peabody Sage Creek Mine. The <br />bond release application was found complete by this Division on May 19, 2011. This Phase II Bond <br />Release for 462.4 acres is for the recently permitted Peabody Sage Creek Mine, Permit No. C-2009- <br />087, for lands reclaimed by Seneca Coal Company from 1978 through 2005. The reclaimed areas <br />within the Peabody Sage Creek Mine have achieved Phase I release under Seneca Coal Company, <br />Permit No. C-1980-005. The surface ownership is Federal, state and private, and the coal mined was <br />Federal, state and private. <br />We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon <br />as it has been scheduled.
