Description of Amendment or Conversion: <br />If you are amending or converting an existing operation, provide a brief narrative describing the proposed change(s). <br />This amendment is to add 28.54 acres to the permit area increasing the permitted reserves and <br />extend the life of the mine. The new area is located to the east of the existing permit area. The <br />reclamation plan will remain unchanged with the exception that the power lines now bisecting <br />the old permit area may be removed, at which time the area under the lines will be mined. In <br />addition, it may be practical to join the floors of this mine with an adjoining Morrow mine along <br />the north side. This will be done if the other mine operator modifies their permit to allow <br />removing the adjoining slope and setbacks on their property.
