(FORM 2 - Public filing)
8. Describe the estimated topsoil depth and how topsoil will be salvaged, stockpiled and redistributed for the re-establishment of
vegetation. Specify approximate topsoil redistribution depth:
Topsoil appears to vary from 0 to 10 inches in the areas of proposed disturbance. Topsoil
will be scraped aside before excavation and stockpiled. After recontouring of disturbed
sites the topsoil will be redistributed with a dozer or excavator a its approximate origins
depths
9. Describe how drill holes will be plugged (refer to Rule 5.4 of the Rules for required abandonment procedures):
Any drill hole which encounters a sedimentary rock aquifer shall be sealed, utilizing a high
quality sodium bentonite type gel, specifically developed for use as an abandonment fluid, or
an equivalent material or technique as approved by CDRMS.
GasiRg set at about 5500 feet depth, before oering GpeFatioRG GGMMenGe, well be Femoved to
the extent possible. Plugging will be performed to isolate aquifers from cross-contamination.
Surface casing will be cut off at the level of the top of the drill site, and closed with a cement
pug. In the reclamation o the drill site this cement surface plug will be buried with soil.
10. Describe how portals, adits, shafts, ponds, excavations, or other disturbances will be reclaimed (refer to Rule 3 and Rule 5 for
specific reclamation performance standards). You may wish to contact the Division for closure specifications.
Drill sites and drill roads will be re-graded and re-contoured with equipment appropriate to
return the disturbed land as closely as possible to its original contour. Topsoil, striped and
disturbance saved at the initial site, re-contoured over the
Fe gFaded site. Topsoil, striped and
saved at the initial disturbance of the site, will be spread and re-contoured over the
re-graded site.
