EXHIBIT H
JUBILEE VENTURE LLC
EAGLE MINE PROJECT
WILDLIFE INFORMATION
The Colorado Division of Wildlife won't provide data concerning wildlife in the area in question except
by contract. They will provide it by request from a State agency such as the Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety. The Division of Wildlife website doesn't provide specific information.
Section 2, T. 10 N. R. 92 W. is transected from southwest to northeast by West Timberlake Creek, an
intermittent stream, which the writer has never seen to contain water, perhaps in a heavy spring runoff
or a tremendous thunderstorm. It does not support ordinary riparian growth but the water table is so
shallow that the terrain seems to support some type of willow in the very bottom of the drainage. It is
somewhat scattered, not dense. Otherwise, the plant life is common to this type terrain, sagebrush,
wheatgrass, wild rye, miscellaneous perennial grasses, forbs, shrubs and some saltbush.
The vegetation feeds deer the year round and is winter range for elk. There are some small predators
such as coyotes and foxes. A jackrabbit is seen upon occasion and there are undoubtedly small rodents.
Very infrequently, sage grouse are seen as this is common range for them. Surely eagles and hawks as
well as crows and magpies occasionally frequent the area. Except for the few sage grouse, no
"endangered" species exist here and their classification as "endangered" falls into question because
there is a hunting season. Only about 6 sage grouse have actually been seen in this area either by the
writer or his associates and that was all in one group.
Previous activity, including grazing and winter feeding of cattle, does not appear to deter wildlife from
hanging out in this area. The existence of a mining project probably won't have any effect. The hunters
during hunting season probably have more effect than anything else but the game continues to return.
OT 1 0000- 1
