Water pollution is the utmost concern.
Here is a list of reasons we do not want the mine:
1. Potential pollution of the areas water wells plus river and fish for the
entire La Plata River watershed. Colorado rivers are all already polluted as
it is, why add to it?
2. Increased noise activity such as blasting, crushing, moving machinery, etc.
3. Increased traffic leaving job site at 10:00 p.m.
4. The expanded area of mining.
5. History of the company's violations that still exist .
6. We have an opportunity to prevent additional pollution of a river, let us
prevent pollution instead of trying to clean up pollution.
7. The area may have been a mining district - but residential and recreational
now.
Art and Linda Perkins
191 Rd. 2900
Aztec, NM 87410
OR
3784 CR 124, Hesperus, 00 81326
505-330-6671
?to
