AM-06 Stipulations
5-10-11
Reservoir. Depending upon the adequacy of information on geological and groundwater
conditions and field observations, it may be possible to establish monitoring points at
existing springs, or surface water seeps.
(b) The surface and groundwater monitoring for potential 1 Dam seepage
between the north abutment of I Dam and Eagle Park Reservoir will be included in the
Water Monitoring Plan, which will specify the frequency of sample collection, field and
laboratory analysis parameters, and criteria for identifying changes and conditions that
could adversely impact water quality in Eagle Park Reservoir.
(c) The Water Monitoring Plan will include surface water sampling
location(s) in the drainage basin above Clinton Reservoir. The Water Monitoring Plan
will specify the frequency of sample collection, field and laboratory analysis parameters,
and criteria for identifying changes and conditions that could adversely impact water
quality in Clinton Reservoir.
(d) The Water Monitoring Plan will include a sampling location in the East
Interceptor downstream of the McNulty OSF and upstream of Clinton Reservoir. The
Water Monitoring Plan will specify the frequency of sample collection, field and
laboratory analysis parameters, and criteria for identifying changes and conditions that
could adversely impact water quality in Clinton Reservoir.
2. Content of the Environmental Protection Plan
Regarding content of the revised EPP to be submitted for review and approval in a
separate future proceeding, the EPP will address at a minimum:
(a) Clinton Gulch watershed:
i. Climax will utilize Best Management Practices (BMPs) for
blasting activities to prevent water quality impacts from flyrock entering the Clinton
Gulch watershed.
ii. The Bartlett Mountain Road will be designed to direct runoff from
the road and associated fill slopes toward the McNulty Gulch and the Open Pit.
iii. Stormwater Management Plan BMPs will be implemented to
prevent water quality impacts to the Clinton Gulch watershed from erosion and sediment
that may be associated with road construction and pit development activities near the
summit of Bartlett Mountain.
iv. Collection facilities will be installed to prevent impacted drainage
from the McNulty OSF from entering the East Interceptor Ditch.
2
