^WWC ENGINEERING <br />May 10, 2011 <br />Janet Binns <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 <br />RE: Edna Mine 2011 Mining Permit Renewal 6 <br />61 1 Skyline Road - Laramie, Wy 82070 - (307) 742-0031 <br />FAX (307) 721-2913 - E-mail: infolar@wwcengineering.com <br /> <br />MY `12-2011 <br />Division oi, Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety <br />Dear Janet Binns: <br />Enclosed, please find the 2011 Edna Mine Permit Renewal Application; PN C-80-001, RN 06. <br />The purpose of the renewal application is to revise and update information pertaining to the <br />permit application. <br />Previously reported in RN 05, bond release for SL-1 (4.0 acres), SL-5 (63.6 acres), SL-6 (13.5 <br />acres), SL-8 (10.0 acres) and SL-9 (3.3 acres) totaling 107.7 acres, have reached phase III bond <br />release. <br />Since RN-05, bond release SL-10 for phases I, 11 and III was applied for November 24, 2008, <br />deemed complete by CDRMS on January 5, 2009 and was approved February 1, 2010. SL-10 <br />(Old Tipple Road, Facilities and Ponds) includes 13.3 acres of land that had previously not <br />reached any phase of bond release. <br />Currently, the Edna Mine is in the final stages of bond release. Phases II and III of the remaining <br />bond area, SL-11, was applied for May 13, 2009 and deemed complete by CDRMS on June 29, <br />2009. SL-11 (West Ridge Area, Moffat Area and Support Facilities Area) includes 1197.6 acres <br />of land that had previously reached phase I release (SL-2, SL-4 and SL-7). CDRMS has <br />postponed a proposed decision until the success of weed control measures and the evaluation of <br />the presence of weeds can be reevaluated in the spring/summer of 2011. <br />Also enclosed is an update to the permit renewal. This update contains three items which have <br />changed: <br />• Surface ownership map; <br />• Surface ownership table; <br />• Chevron chain of ownership and changes in officers and directors. <br />Three copies of the above referenced updated sections to the Edna Mine Permit Renewal <br />Application are enclosed. - The updated material has been formatted to enable direct substitution <br />of the revised pages into the permit document.
