• 0.999670. First order vertical control was established from USGS <br />benchmarks in the Durango area. <br />A local coordinate system for this area will not be used. All <br />survey control will use grid north based upon state plane <br />coordinates. The following survey control maps for the area are <br />included in Appendix B: <br />Horizontal Control Map # 69-406-1907 <br />Vertical Control Map # 69-406-1908 <br />The specifications should require that any monuments, witness <br />corners, and construction survey control points destroyed by the <br />contractor will have to be replaced at the expense of the <br />contractor in accordance with surveying practices. <br />• C. LAND OWNERSHIP <br />Negotiations with two land owners are currently under way for the <br />acquisition of this borrow area. Borrow area restoration <br />requirements, final location data for the permanent dam access <br />road through the borrow area, date of completion of <br />archaeological investigations, and the total cost for borrow area <br />materials will be determined after acquisition. ..This information <br />will be forwarded to the Denver Office, code D-3620, as soon as <br />it is available. <br />Durango Projects Office is currently negotiating the acquisition <br />of the existing material stockpiles located in the previous <br />contractor staging area (Drawing No. 69-406-1921).
