The pit floor will be gently sloped to the north to allow drainage to the pond or eventually to the
river as shown in the Reclamation Map F. Topsoil cover on the pit floor and slopes will be
consistent with the original 112 mining permit. Also consistent with the original 112 mining
permit, the SCS recommended seed mix will used for revegetation during reclamation.
For the purposes of this technical revision, reclamation of the property on the east side of the
river will be consistent with the original 112 permit. Once plans are finalized, United
Companies will submit a technical revision for converting the 3 acre batch plant site for
industrial use.
Consistent with Rule 4.17 (1) the owner of record for the affected land is listed below:
John Rozman
24063 State Hwy 135
Crested Butte, Colorado 81224
(970) 901-5819
Because the area (Tract 1) that we are asking to be released from the mining permit is
undisturbed and was not reclaimed, we assume that a signed statement by the Operator stating
that all applicable portions of the Reclamation Plan have been satisfied as stated in Rule 4.17.1 is
not applicable for undisturbed land.
If there is any additional information needed by the Division please contact me a soon as
possible. Funding for the purchase of the conservation easement will be withdrawn in June if we
are unable to complete this process. I appreciate your help.
Sincerely,

Peter M.
