Memo to Wally Erickson 4 April 28, 2011 <br />Wildcat CN-01 Geotechnical Adequacy Response Review File No. M-1981-185 <br />in May 2010 (Attachment 6.5.4) have been incorporated into the road construction work plan <br />including (by reference) the recommendations offered by Mr. Allen Sorenson in his memo <br />dated October 28, 2009, May 17, 2010, June 4, 2010, and June 7, 2010. The Division did not <br />receive a road construction work plan which included the recommendations offered by Mr. <br />Sorenson with references. Please provide the work plan. <br />18. In the New Access Road-road stability including cut slope section, the Applicant states the <br />road construction work plan includes the following activities. The statement is followed by 18 <br />bulleted statements. Please clarify if the Applicant intends the bulleted list to be the work <br />plan. <br />19. If the Applicant intends the bulleted list to be considered the access road work plan, the <br />Applicant must provide additional details and specifications regarding each bulleted item. The <br />work plan should be similar to the proposed work plan provided by the Applicant for Little <br />Deadwood Gulch. <br />Access Road Design -Attachment F <br />20. Please confirm the CLC Associates construction plans submitted on April 18, 2011 replace the <br />Sakura Engineering As-Build Drawings submitted previously by the Applicant. <br />21. General Note #3 on the CLC cover sheet states, the contractor shall have a copy of the <br />approved geotechnical report for access road design and compaction requirements. Please <br />provide the Division with a copy of the approved geotechnical report. <br />22. Please define the abbreviations used by CLC Associates in the access road construction plans. <br />23. It appears the final grade proposed by CLC on Sheet C4.12 between Station 19+23.77 and <br />Station 21+00 of 17.96% exceeds the maximum 15 percent grade recommended by the <br />Geotechnical Reconnaissance report prepared by R Squared on May 29, 2010. Please explain <br />this discrepancy. <br />24. CLC sheet C4.12 indicates the existing retaining walls, posts and cable will be removed. Please <br />explain how the cut/fill and fill sections of the access road will be constructed and stabilized <br />after the existing retaining structures are removed.
