The revision approved the installation of stabilization
borehole construction on the surface of the 17LT panel due to pillar instability in underground mine workings.
Disturbance activities are approved to be conducted at a distance greater than 100 feet from Routt county Road
No. 27 (RCR 27). The location and extent of the disturbance appears to be correct based on photographs taken
during the initial pad development.
Approved initial erosion control structures have been placed based on SAE requirements outlined in the PAP.
Salvaged topsoil is observed in the correct location.
Based on initial observations, there was a question whether the extent of the disturbance was inside 100 feet of the
right-of-way of RCR 27. After reviewing the photographs and through discussion with Foidel Creek Mine
personnel, it was determined that the location and extent of the disturbance is correct and reflects the information
permitted in MR253.
OTHER(SPECIFY):
This was a partial inspection of the Foidel Creek Mine conducted by Jason Musick of CDRMS utilizing
photographs taken by Janet Binns of CDRMS. The photographs were taken from the right(east) shoulder of RCR
27. Three photos were taken. The photos were forwarded to Jason Musick assessment.According to Janet Binns,
the weather was cool and partly cloudy and the ground appeared wet at the time of the inspection. The inspection
was verifying activities permitted through Minor Revision No. 253.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3
Page 2 of 5
