DRMS Permit M-1978-327, Kauffman Pit
Exposed Groundwater through Reclamation
Eric:
Thanks for your time once again recently, in further consultations regarding this Pit. To
confirm our discussions, Jake Kauffman & Son, Inc. (JKS) intends to prepare Technical
Revision (TR) materials for their Reclamation Plan and Permit. These preparations will
commence this month, for submittal in May or June this year.
It is JKS' intention to have the TR address exposed groundwater by filling or lining additional
areas of the Pit. The TR application will demonstrate that no augmentation will be required
for this Pit when completed. The planned TR will also consider and present the current status
of site reclamation and prior release areas, and the resulting status of the project financial
warranty for the Pit.
Eric, thank you, and we look forward to meeting with you, and working with you soon on the
upcoming TR. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions, or require
further information.
Respectfully,
DCS, Inc.
Daniel P.
