Tank" was submitted to that office for each stock tank. A copy of that form with the
• agency's approval for each stock tank is included as Appendix B.
4.05.9 (13) (e) Size of impoundment shall be adequate for its intended purpose
The intended purpose of the impoundments is to provide a limited measure of seasonal
and intermittent impounded water for random use by livestock and /or wildlife, which can
naturally adapt to the presence or absence in any particular stock tank. The ephemeral
nature of the stock tanks will reduce the likelihood of their ever becoming stagnant.
4.05.9 (13) (f) The impoundment shall be suitable for the approved post- mining
land use
The approved post- mining land use is livestock grazing and wildlife habitat. Any
impounded surface waters that are easily accessible to wildlife will obviously be a benefit
to these uses.
References
• 1) En ig nna and Design Manual Coal Refuse Disposal Facilities p. 6.165,
U.S. Dept. of Interior, Mine Safety and Health Admin, 1977
2) Design Manual Soil Mechanics Foundations and earth Structures, NAVFAC
DM -7 , Figure 3 -7, Dept. of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command,
March 1974
is
Exh. 7 -13 -7 Revision No.: TR -89
Revision Date: 02/11/11
