sP?/-
ALBERT FREI & SONS
April 22, 2011
Mr. Tony Waldron
Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety
1313 Sherman St, #215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Mr Waldron;
P.O. BOX 700
HENDERSON, CO 80640
(303) 289-1837
(303) 289-2865 FAX

RE: Mining operations with exposed ground water
Permit # I1-1977-526, Worthing Pit

APR 1,
Divisiot,
Presented in this letter is our plan for addressing the exposed
ground water issue at the above referenced mine based on the four (4)
options outlined in the Divisions letter dated April 30, 2010.
This mine has pre 1981 groundwater exposed as allowed in §37-90-
137(11)(b) and there is no post 1981 water surfaces on the mine at
this time. We have filed a Well Permit and Substitute Water Supply
Plan with the Office of the State Engineer for the water used for dust
control and loses due to gravel processing per their requirements. We
are in the processing of obtaining a lease for water for the current
year to cover our processing needs.
Our current Reclamation Plan has an option that allows us to
line the old lake areas to develop them for water storage or to
facilitate backfilling with inert material. We have installed a
compacted liner around the mined area in the northeast quadrant of the
mine where there was a post 1981 lake. This area is now virtually dry
since what little water in the hole is from storm runoff. This water
id periodically pumped into the west lake so it is returned to the
groundwater system..
We believe the information presented shows that this mine in
compliance with §37-90-137(11). If you have any questions or need
more information please call me.
Sincerely,
Albert Frei & Sons, Inc.
Ben Frei, Secretary
cc Environment, Inc.
file
