Borehole Proposal
Dear Sir or Madam:
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has received a revision for the Elk Creek Mine. The
revision was called complete on April 18, 2011. The decision due date is June 17, 2011.
With this Technical Revision, Oxbow Mining, LLC is providing documentation to the Division about a
Vessels Coal Gas Inc. methane gas borehole proposal. The methane gas borehole would be located at the
former Sanborn Creek fansite pad within OMLLC's permit area. The borehole would be used to recover
methane from the abandoned and sealed Sanborn Creek Mine workings. The operator has requested no
new disturbed acreage with this revision application.
This revision is available for review at the Paonia Public Library, 2 Third Avenue, Paonia, CO 81428.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Michael P.
