Procedures described within the Environmental Protection Plan (Exhibit T -
Designated Mining Operation) will minimize the potential to impact surface water. Wildcat will
comply with DRMS Water Requirements outlined in section 3 1 6 and 3.1.7.
Dry or submerged tailings are proposed to be disposed within the underground workings with
little opportunity to impact groundwater. Procedures described within the Environmental
Protection Plan (Exhibit T - Designated Mining Operation) will minimize the potential to impact
ground water. A summary of the hydrogeologic setting for the project area is presented in
Attachment G-1
6.4.7(2) Affected Surface/Groundwater
(a) Map
The surface water bodies within the permit boundaries, and adjacent to, are presented in
Figure C-6, Exhibit C.
(b) Known Aquifers
The permit area is located at the northern boundary of the San Juan Hydrogeologic Basin
(Topper et al., 2003).
