Gorham Environmental Protection Specialist III Q 1??1 Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety m-?Ovkl 1313 Sherman St., Room 215 Denver, Colorado 80203 Re: 2005 Exploration Project (X-2005-223-06) Final Written Reclamation Report Dear Mr. Gorham: The following information presents a Final Written Reclamation Report regarding the subject exploration project. We have also included an executed "Coal Exploration Final Reclamation Report" for the project. We are prepared to conduct a field inspection of the final reclamation. Please be aware that many of the sites or roads have been incorporated into the mining activities of the Elk Creek Mine under C-1981-022 or a later NOI. As such, subsequent activities are covered by the reclamation bond for the mine's activities rather than the NOI. The following describes the status of each borehole. We have also included final copies of the borehole completion reports for each of the sites to satisfy the Rule 4.07.3(3) requirements. 1. The location of ECM-05-27 was reclaimed then reopened and occupied by the two Elk Creek Mine methane and utility boreholes located on the south panels. Reclamation of this pad was completed during the fall of 2010 in accordance with the Elk Creek Mine reclamation plan and is covered by the Mine's extended reclamation liability. 2. The ECM-05-28, ECM-05-39, ECM-05-43, ECM-05-44 and ECM-05-45 and 45A sites and roads are reclaimed and all considered reclaimed and ready for bond release. Incidentally, the exploration activities addressed by this NOI were also included in BLM Exploration License COC-68482. With a demonstration of successful reclamation, the BLM case file was closed and surety bond released effective September 22, 2009.
