2.05.6 (4) Protection of Public Parks and Historic Places
• No public parks are located within the PSCM Permit Area or adjacent areas; therefore, no public
parks will be affected by the proposed mining operations. As discussed in Section 2.04.4, Cultural
Resources, activities within the surveyed portions of the PSCM permit area are not anticipated to
affect any specific sites or areas listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic
Places. These sites are discussed in further detail in Exhibit 2.04.4 -E1, Cultural Information
(confidential).
If sites and areas listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places are
identified during site development activities, they will be immediately addressed by PSCM. Should
ground disturbance occur in or near newly discovered sites SCCC will coordinate with the State
Office of Historic Preservation on development and implementation of a treatment plan for any sites
expected to experience impacts from surface disturbance or development. The treatment plan
would identify specific mitigation processes needed to develop in and around these sensitive
resource locations.
•
•
9 e Yom"'
PSCM Permit App. 2.05 -98 06/15/09
