STATE OF COLORADO
Roy Romer, Governor
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
xD1~VIS10No~OF WILDLIFE
Perry D. Olson, Olrebtor
6060 Broadway
Denver. Stover & Associates
7~3 Horizon Court, Suite 205
Grand Junction, CO 81506
Dear Mr. Stover:
REFER TO
For ~Idiife-
For People
July 15, 1991
This letter is in reference to your 7-9-91 letter regarding
revegetation plans for Lillylands, Incorporated's Mined Land
• Reclamation Permit. The seed mixture recommended in your letter is
a good variety for tildlife and should do well in the arid climate
around Yaturita. Successful reclamation of the site with these
species will be an attractant to wildlife, creating a diversity of
wildlife habitat from the existing terrain. As far as requirements
for woody stemmed shrubs in this area, the species list outlined in
your letter is acceptable to our Division without any woody stemmed
species.
As I suggested on the phone this morning, you may wish to talk to
the local Soil Conservation Service regarding site specific soil
types, planting conditions and species adaptability to maximize
revegetation success.
Please feel free to call if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
Rick Sherman
Wildlife Biologist
cc:Carl Mount, MLRD
Bob Clark
u
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES.
