In accordance with regulations of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety, Rule
4.05.13, the Annual Hydrology Reports (AHR's) have been submitted in accordance with the
permit and provide detailed information concerning the monitoring results for surface and
ground water. Data provided in the AHR's indicate that the reclamation process has been
successful, that onsite impacts have been minimized and that offsite impacts have been
prevented. The DRMS reviewed AHR's and concluded positive point by point comments
concerning the probable hydrologic consequences. The Division's comments are included in
their correspondence dated April 17, 2006.
Accordingly, Kerr received approval to terminate further monitoring activity at the mine area as
is documented in Technical Revision No.23 (TR -23) June, 2007. Termination of monitoring
pertains to the mine area only. Monitoring will continue at the Loadout Facility as required
(refer to Table 61, Hydrologic Monitoring Schedule).
Termination of the former monitoring applies to the following at the mine area:
Surface discharge water quality monitoring from all ponds at the mine area-t6 include Ponds A,
B, D, E and F which corresponds to discharge points 301, 302, 304, 305 and 321 respectively.
Likewise, the corresponding CDPS Permit No.850037 has been terminated.
(Ponds C and G were reclaimed during 2006).
LOADOUT FACILITY:
The monitoring schedule at the Loadout Facility is superseded by revised Table 61, Hydrologic
Monitoring Schedule, as approved with TR -23 June, 2007.
Monitoring Stations at the Loadout Site, alluvial well AP -1 and AP -2 and Discharge Point #319
are shown on Map 2, Loadout Area Monitoring Stations updated for the permit renewal, RN -06.
Permit Renewal Revised
RN -06 780.109a December 2010
