Also attached are photographs taken at various stages of
construction which document the building of the cut -off wall.
The original design for the cut -off wall which was submitted to the State Division of
Minerals and Geology of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, included the
following features:
• A single, 8 -inch reinforced concrete cut -off wall constructed across the downgradient
drainage of Robinson Lake. The cut -off wall was to be keyed into the underlying
competent bedrock within a 24 -inch (minimum) deep trench excavated into the
bedrock;
e A perforated, drainage collection pipe placed within a trench excavated on the
upgradient side of the cut-off wall. The collection pipe would be wrapped in a
geosynthetic cloth and surrounded with a coarse sand/gravel backfill to facilitate
drainage; and
• Two sumps connected by a manifold to the drainage collection pipe. These sumps
would be used to remove ground water intercepted by the cut -off wall and convey it
to the Robinson Reservoir.
C:1PRo1ECMS 10I.W LL1525101,0W
Titan Environmental Corporation
7939 E.
