The revision was submitted by <br />GCC Energy, LLC. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date <br />of filing. <br />The mine operator proposes to install a buried water-supply pipeline. One segment of the pipeline will be on State land <br />inside the existing mine permit area. One segment of the pipeline will be on private land that will be added to the permit <br />area. Installation of the pipeline will require boring underneath La Plata County Road 120. The pipeline will connect to <br />a segment of the pipeline recently approved in Minor Revision 33 for installation inside the existing mine permit area. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles southwest of Hesperus, Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as: Portions of Sections 5 through 8, Township 34 North, Range 11 West; portions of <br />Sections 28 through 32, Township 35 North, Range 11 West; and portions of Sections 35 and 36 Township 35 North, <br />Range 12 West; New Mexico Principal Meridian. These tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle map <br />of Hesperus. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the <br />time of publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the La Plata <br />County Clerk and Recorder, 1060 E Second Ave, Durango, CO 81301, and at the Division office. For additional <br />information or to provide written comments, contact the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, <br />we request that comments be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this letter.
