the last inspection and water levels are now some 8-10 feet below the lowest discharge point.
Drainage at the RDA appeared functional in accordance with the approved design. Clean water
diversion ditch D26 behind the coal silos should be restored to the original design condition
after powerline construction has modified two short portions of this ditch.
Support Facilities
Additional work continues on support facilities as approved under TR-56. Hoist foundations are
nearly complete. The operator should immediately consider appropriate locations for materials
storage, as continued storage on the raw coal stockpile area will not be acceptable long-tens.
Mine Materials
r
Hoist foundations
t"
Topsoil
Please ensure that all stored topsoil is properly marked in accordance with Rule 4.02.7.
Specifically, topsoil temporarily stored at the rock dust tank area under construction requires
markers to prevent inadvertent loss or contamination with subsoil and bedrock material.
Processing Waste
The refuse disposal area has not changed significantly although it appears likely that refuse
material will soon be added in significant volumes once the prep plant begins serious
operations. The current configuration at the top of the refuse conveyor is insufficient to handle
large delivery rates of refuse that may occur. Currently, the working area below the conveyor is
very small, steep, and immediately adjacent to the RDA west downdrain. Extension of the
conveyor may be the temporary option until permitting of another option can be completed.
4
