Box 187
Craig, CO 81626
Re: Trapper Mining Inc., 2010 Annual Reclamation Report, TR-108, Adequacy Review
Dear Mr. Roberts:
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division) has reviewed the 2010 Annual
Reclamation Report (TR-108) for Trapper Mine. Trapper Mining Inc. submitted the report in accordance with
Rule 2.04.13. Upon review of the report, the Division requests the following additional information.
Please provide a discussion of weed control measures implement during 2010. This should include a list of
what noxious weed species were controlled and a description of the measures employed, including what
chemicals were used. A sketch or description of where weed control measures were employed should also be
included. (Inclusion of this information in the ARR is very helpful during bond release reviews.)
TMI reported that 22 development drill holes were constructed in 2010. Of these, two will be mined through
and therefore do not require reclamation. Please provide the following information related to the remaining 20
holes:
• Discuss if holes were sealed and if the pads were regraded and seeded. If these holes have been sealed
and reclaimed, provide drill hole abandonment reports.
• Show drill hole locations on the ARR map, including the area associated with the reclamation of these
holes.
• State which seed mix was used to reclaim the pads.
Please submit the requested information by the regulatory timeframe. If you have any questions feel free to
contact me at Rob.Zuber(a)
,state.co.us or (303) 866-3567, extension 8113.
Sincerely, x,
Robert Zuber, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
