Four
sediment ponds have been retained in the Southfield permit. All four ponds were dry during the fourth quarter 2011
inspection. The first quarter inspections were conducted on March 10, 2011. The inspection was conducted during
the first quarter 2011.
The operator noted trash dumped in Loadout pond #1 (West Loadout) and unauthorized vehicle traffic on the
Loadout #2 embankment. The function of either pond has not been noticeably impaired. The report notes that
Energy Fuels Coal has made arrangements to remove the trash. Division inspection on March 29, 2011, found that
trash had been removed and efforts had been made to minimize unauthorized traffic across site.
This report is in compliance with Rule 405.9(17). Thank you for the timely submittal of the report.
,anet H.
