When Frank Edsman
(Oakridge's attorney) mentioned this to Dave Berry, Dave requested that I contact you to get an
OK. Dave was concerned that the well might be in use as a monitoring well. My understanding is
that with the termination of the ground water monitoring program in 2006 at the Carbon Junction
Mine, the 17B well had/has no further use under the current permit, therefore, there should be no
problem in reclaiming it in accordance with the coal program well sealing regulations. If this
agrees with your understanding and I may reclaim well 17B, please e-mail me your concurrence.
Thanks Tom.
Mike Savage
Savage and Savage Environmental
