2.05 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND MINING ACTIVITIES - MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS FOR OPERATION AND RECLAMATION PLANS.
The II West Submain entries were initially driven at an approximate right angle from the
South III Submain entries to the east towards the East mine a distance of
approximately 6200 feet and then at an approximate right angle to the west to the
western permit boundary, a distance of approximately 6200 feet.
Seven room and pillar panels were developed along the north side of the easterly arm
of the II West Submains. A series of panels and subpanels was developed both north
and south off of the westerly arm of the II West Submains. All of these panels are
shown on Map 2 -5
Refer to Section 2.05.3 for further discussions of the East and West Mine historical
operations.
Serious consideration of rock slope entries to bypass the sealed East Mine were at one
time considered and partially permitted. However, they were never developed and any
references to these rock slopes elsewhere in this permit should be disregarded.
PR -4 -6- 06/10
