Scott Fifer <br />Work History (continued) <br />USDA Forest Service, Glenwood Springs, Colorado <br />Forest Hydrologist (1976 - 1981): <br />Responsible for the development and implementation of the White <br />River National Forest's water resources program. Duties include <br />program development, budgeting, on-site implementation and <br />accomplishment reporting. Provided technical guidelines to the forest <br />supervisor, staff and district rangers on all matters related to water <br />quality and water law. The job required an extensive knowledge of <br />hydrologist principles with a major emphasis in the fields of water <br />law/water rights, management services, water quality and land <br />management planning. Interdisciplinary team leader of several major <br />EIS studies. <br />USDA Forest Service, Glenwood Springs, Colorado <br />Assistant Forest Service Hydrologist (1975 - 1976): <br />Worked with the forest hydrologist in implementing the water resource <br />program for the White River National Forest. Major duties included <br />management services for the district ranger, water quality collection <br />and analysis, and watershed restoration. Worked extensively on the <br />Interstate 70 Vail Pass construction project. Received award for <br />National publication. <br />USDA Forest Service, Custer, South Dakota <br />Hydrologist (1974- 1975) <br />Responsible for developing and implementing watershed activities on <br />the Black Hills National Forest.
