• The East Fork Interceptor Ditch is identified as a point of diversion to the Eagle Park Reservoir for 48 cfs.
Nos. 92CW340).
This ditch is not identified on the Water Management System map (Case No. 92CW340, Division 5).
Please address any possible effects on the Chalk Mtn. Interceptor Ditch. This ditch is a decreed point of
diversion for the Eagle Park Reservoir. It includes drainage in both the Eagle River and Ten Mile Creek
Drainage Basins. (See Case Nos. 92CW233, 92CW336, 92CW340 and 93CW301).
Please address any possible effects on the East Interceptor Ditch. This ditch is a decreed point of
diversion for the Eagle Park Reservoir. It includes drainage in Ten Mile Creek Drainage Basin. (See Case
Please address any possible effects on the Supply Canal No. 1. This ditch is a decreed point of diversion
for the Eagle Park Reservoir. It includes drainage in Ten Mile Creek Drainage Basin. (See Case No.
92CW340). This ditch is not identified in the Water Management Plan mapping.
Please address any possible effects on the Supply Canal No. 2. This ditch is a decreed point of diversion
for the Eagle Park Reservoir. It includes drainage in Ten Mile Creek Drainage Basin. (See Case No.
92CW340). This ditch is not identified in the Water Management Plan mapping.
It appears that development on the southeast portion of the property will affect runoff and collection of
water in the Chalk Mountain and East Interceptor Ditches.
Section G-5-1 contemplates installation of new interceptor ditches to reduce the potential for surface
• water up-gradient of the facility to interact with development rock. If new interceptor ditches are to be
installed within the Eagle River or Tenmile Creek watershed areas, there may be potential injury to water
rights. Eagle Park should be allowed to review any new or modified interceptor ditches planned for
construction within the watershed.
Miscellaneous
Eagle Park Reservoir Company should be able to review changes to the water management plan that
impact the watershed. Climax has stated that "Depending on the magnitude of these changes, and if
appropriate, a technical revision (TR) will be prepared and submitted to the DRMS for review and
approval." Eagle Park should have review ability on any change that has the potential to impact water
rights or water quality of its source waters.
We should get a copy of the Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) cited in the 1995 Groundwater
Monitoring Plan. Has this document also been updated to reflect the new mining activities?
Note to self. Ten Mile TSF will be used for Phase I tailings. Mayflower TSF will be used for Phase II.
Ten Mile TSF may have partial reclamation as operations move to Mayflower but will be maintained as a
backup and used for water storage for the life of the mine.
0 Robinson TSF is no longer in use and reclamation efforts are ongoing.
