The figure for allowable cover in the 2010 Phase II BRB (45.3%) is the result of
• subtracting tree, shrub and non-herbaceous cover (2.1%) and perennial noxious weed cover
(0.70%) and "excess annual/biennial cover' (0.5%) from the observed all-hit total vegetation
cover of 48.6%.
A t-test of the reverse null hypothesis that the 2010 Phase II BRB allowable cover exceeds 90%
of the standard is as follows:
tc = (45.3 - 32.2) /(11.34 / sgrt 30) = 6.33
Since critical t = 0.854 (one-tailed, alpha = 0.2, 29 df) and tc is greater than this critical value, the
"reverse null hypothesis" is rejected and reclamation success for Phase II is demonstrated.
SPECIES DIVERSITY
The species diversity determinations are based on the approved diversity evaluation procedures
contained in Tab 22 "Revegetation Plan" of the CDRMS Seneca II Mine permit.
0 13
