<br />A public hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the
<br />Bureau of Land Management's, White River Field
<br />Office, 220 East Market Street, Meeker, Colorado
<br />on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 addressing the use of
<br />motorized vehicles and helicopters to gather wild
<br />horses from the North Piceance Herd Area,
<br />Piceance-East Douglas Herd Management Area
<br />and other areas outside of the Piceance-East
<br />Douglas Herd Management Area including an
<br />area locally known as Magnolia Bench in 2011.
<br />Once the public hearing is concluded, the BLM
<br />will follow with a scoping meeting for the public to
<br />address issues of concern in the preparation of an
<br />Environmental Assessment for the proposed wild
<br />horse gather. This hearing/meeting is scheduled
<br />to conclude at 7:30 p.m.

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MEEKER MUNICIPAL CODE, TITLE 18, CHAPTER 6, MEEKER ING
<br />OVERLAY ZONE ORDINANCE OF 1990, SECTION 18.6.104, JURISDICTION OF OVERL MAP OF
<br />THE TOWN OF MEEKER (OFFICIAL MAP) WITH THE ADDITION OF CERTAIN LOTS WITH'
<br />WHEREAS, a property owner made an inquiry to the Town staff concerning pater 26, located adjacent to
<br />the boundaries of the Retail Sales/Small-Scale Manufacturing Overlay Zone Dis WHEREAS, this inquiry
<br />prompted the Town staff to examine the appropriater area, which, currently, includes Block 9, Lots
<br />4,5,6,7,8, and 9 and Block 10, Lots 4,5, and 6; and, WHEREAS, subsequently, the Town staff made
<br />inquiry of another owner of rei property abuts the boundary of the RS/SSM, the use of which property
<br />may be of a pe RS/SSM; and the property owner was agreeable with the possible inclusion of such real
<br />property in the
<br />WHEREAS, the Town planner, thereafter, pursuant to M.M.C. §18.1.148, submitl Map and
<br />amend M.M.C. §18.6.104 by including the following described real property, to Lot 2, Block 26 (734
<br />Main Street), (collectively, the "Subject PI'Operty ), within the bour posed Amendments"); and,
<br />WHEREAS, on January 31, 2011, the Planning Commission hell a public heartice of
<br />which having been duly given in the Rio Blanco Herill!Lllmes newspaper; and,.
<br />WHEREAS, at such public hearing, the public was given the opportunity to voie the Town
<br />staff concerning the Proposed Amendments and based upon the evidence I Commission recommended
<br />to the Town Boarc! of Trustees (the "Town Board") to appro Subject Property; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the Town Board held a public hearing on February 15, 2011, al Street, Meeker,

<br />The 2010 Zoning District Map of the Town of Meeker (Official Map) is hereby amended with the indus

<br />Section lil.
<br />The Mayor and the Town Clerk are directed to execute this ordinance.

<br />This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30)days after the date of its publication.
