In order to minimize runoff volumes subject to sediment control in
• the loadout area, EFCI installed a 24-inch CMP culvert under the
loadout access road allowing runoff from the County road to flow ~
around the disturbance area.
The location of all collection and diversion ditches and culverts are
shown on the Mine Area Surface and Groundwater Hydrology Map, (Map
12), and the Loadout Area Surface and Groundwater Hydrology Map (Map
13), and discussions of design methodology and all design
calculations are presented in Exhibit 19, Drainage and Sediment J
control Plan.
Upon completion of all mining and related activities, all temporary
diversion ditches will be reclaimed by grading ditches to blend with /
surrounding undisturbed and reclaimed terrain, replacing topsoil, and /
revegetating disturbed ditch areas.
Power Transmission Lines and Associated Facilities. The mine is
• served by the main 69KV powerline which parallels County Road 15 to
the north and west of the mine facilities area. Substation No. 2 is
connected to the main 69KV line by a branch line which runs just west
of the coal refuse stockpile area. Substation No. 2 includes the
transformer which converts line voltage to 4160 which is then carried
by a separate transmission line paralleling the south side of the
coal refuse pile to Substation No. 1. Substation No. 1 provides
power through underground transmission lines to the
shop/office/warehouse facility, coal preparation plant, and
underground power system. All powerlines and associated substations ~
are shown on the Mine Surface Facilities Map, (Map 18).
The typical pole configuration for existing power transmission lines
is illustrated by Figure 20, Typical Power Pole Configuration. All
transformers, switch gear, and other electrical equipment are
enclosed by wire fences with locked gates to limit access, and
appropriate signs are posted in substation areas to warn of potential
. electrical hazards. /
c:~eso~rx-z3
05/19/95 3:13pm kep 2.05.3-51 Revised - May 1995
