CAMEO BORROW AREA 1 (CBA 1)
CBA 1 was used as a borrow area in 1994 and to a small extent in 2002.
Runoff is diverted to anon-discharging sump using berms around the low edge
of the disturbance. The berms will be maintained to a height of 2'. The sediment
level will be kept below the maximum design level and water will not be allowed
to stay in the pond above the maximum sediment level. After settling, excess
water will be transferred to Coal Canyon drainage for discharge as part of the
Stormwater Management Plan. See Exhibit 9B, Table 13-5 and Appendix 13-3
for drainage design details.
CAMEO BORROW AREA 2 (CBA 2)
CBA 2 was used in 1994 and was used extensively in 2002. Alluvial material
was removed northwest of Coal Gulch. During 2002 material excavation began
at the south bank of Pond 11 and proceeded to the southwest which expanded
the size of Pond 11. See Exhibits 9B and 52.
Runoff from Cameo Borrow Area 2 (CBA 2) is directed to Pond 11. Pond 11 has
adequate capacity for CBA 2. See Exhibit 52, Table 13-4 and Appendix 13-2 for
details.
The East collection ditch at CBA 2 was obliterated during the 2002 use of CBA-
2. This collection ditch is no longer required since all drainage from the borrow
area flows to Pond 11.
See page 14-12 for a discussion of the future Coal Gulch, re-alignment to be
performed concurrent with the removal of Pond 11. `
13-15 (Rev. 09/07)
