Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has reviewed the application materials submitted for
McClane Canyon Mining, LLC's (MCM's) Permit Renewal No. 7 (RN -07) of Permit C- 198 0-004.
The Division received the application for the renewal of a valid existing permit to conduct mining in
Colorado for its McClane Canyon Mine on December 3, 2010 and the application was deemed
,complete on December 13, 2010.
The Division does not have any adequacy review comments or concerns at this time due to the pending
review that is currently in process for Permit Revision No. 2 (PR -02) submitted on November 01,
2010. The Division sent MCM a detailed adequacy review letter for PR -02 on February 15, 2011.
Since PR -02 substantially changes most sections of the current permit application package we feel that
it is unnecessary to send additional review comments for RN -07 at this time. The proposed decision
for RN -07 can be issued concurrent with the adequacy review process for PR -02.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please call me.
Sincerely,
A do) P- b
Michael P.
