The presence of prehistoric resources was considered a
potential due to previously recorded sites in the region and historic resources were known to
occur from previous observations in the area.
Field Methods
This Class III inventory of the 1520 acre tract was limited by heavy vegetation cover
and steep slopes. Accordingly, the inventory was limited to the survey of open terrain on the
main ridge tops and benches provided by treeless meadows, existing roads, trails, and
erosional areas.
4
J
J
