The light use road will be reclaimed when the vent shaft in
no longer required. Since topsoil was not salvaged from the light use road or
pad the road bed and pad will be ripped, plowed or scarified prior to seeding
to provide a suitable seed bed. The vent shaft pad and light use road
facilities are presented on Map 35 (Volume II) which also presents the
postmining topography of the pad and light use road.
New light use roads will be reclaimed. Reclamation of the upgraded and
refurbished light use roads may involve narrowing the roads so they are
compatible with the postmining land use of rangeland and wildlife habitat
since roads are necessary to manage both land uses and a light use road
network was existing on the property prior to mining.
The drill pads for the Gob Ventilation Bore Holes will be reclaimed when the
GVBs are no longer required. If topsoil is not salvaged in adequate quantity
to provide a suitable seed bed, one will be developed as explained in the
paragraph above. Reclaimed light use roads and drill pads will be graded to
approximate original contour.
(2)(d) A plan for the removal and storage of topsoil is presented in Section
2.05.3(5). During reclamation operations topsoil will be placed on regraded
areas in an approximate uniform, stable thickness. Map No. 32, Topsoil
Distribution Plan, shows the location of the topsoil stockpiles and the areas
where and thickness which topsoil will be spread.
PR -12 2.05-65- 02/10
/9 PPAovsD
It/l6 /a
