•
C]
2.05.3
Run -off from the material storage area located below drainage area E and
pond C does not go through a treatment facility such as a sediment pond.
The material storage area is located north of the haul road along the old rail
bed. Run -off from the haul road along the old rail bed does not go through a
treatment facility either. Run -off from these adjacent areas is controlled by
berms and ditches. A berm along the south side of the area contains
drainage to the ditch on the north side of the material storage area.
Run -off from the material storage area and haul road is directed to ditch D-
E1. Sediment traps will be installed in ditch D -E1 as shown on Map 21 -1.
The sediment traps will be straw bales, silt fences or other approved devices.
The sediments traps will slow and remove sediment from the run -off from the
material storage area and haul road. The sample point for this SAE is near
the dewatering valve for pond C.
Run -off from the pump station located near the Deer Trail Ditch will not be
contained in a sediment pond. The pump station is located below old State
Highway 133 in a location where sediment pond construction would be
difficult. Run -off from the area disturbed by the pump station construction will
be filtered through a sediment trap such as straw bales, silt fences or other
approved devices. The location of the sediment trap for the pump house is
presented on Map 21 -1.
The vent shaft pad located in Freeman Gulch was covered by a massive
slide. It is no longer monitored or maintained. Design of the sediment fences
was presented in Volume III, Exhibit 8 beginning on page Exh -8 - 87.
Run -off from the Hubbard Creek vent shaft pad does not go through a
treatment facility such as a sediment pond. Run -off from this pad will be
filtered through a 40 -foot long sediment fence. Design of the sediment fence
is presented in Volume III, Exhibit 8 beginning on page Exh -8 - 209. Flow will
be routed to the sediment fence with ditches and berms as shown on Map
39.
Run -off from the Hubbard Creek pump station does not go through a
treatment facility such as a sediment pond. Run -off from this pad will be
filtered through a 50 -foot long sediment fence. Design of the sediment fence
is presented - in - Volume III, Exhibit 8 beginning on page Exh =8 - 234. --
PR -12 2.05-42- 2/10
A I PRouED
