Tracers were used to evaluate the stream flow gain loss. A <br />comparison of the measurements above and below the mine permit area <br />showed a consistent loss of about 0.33 cubic feet per second. The gain loss <br />report is available on the WEB by searching for "Scientific Investigations <br />Report 2005 - 5018 ". <br />• <br />Longwall mining in the west panels located east of Terror Creek did not <br />commence until after 2003. Since the gain loss report was prepared based <br />on 2003 flow data, the gain loss measurements were not impacted by the <br />Operator's mining.
