C-96-083 & C-81-038 <br />DMG Permit Actions (#2 Mine PR-03 8 #1 Mine TR-32) <br />Dear Sirs: <br /> <br />Bowie Resources Limited is revising its operations at the Bowie No. 1 & 2 Mines. <br />Production at the Bowie No. 2 Mine will increase to 5.0 million tons per year. This coal will <br />be loaded at the Bowie No. 1 Mine loadout. These changes increase the predicted flcN <br />depletion in the Colorado River by 155.6 acre feet per year. This additional depletion may <br />affect four endangered species of fish in the Colorado River. <br />Bowie Resources Limited hereby commits to implement the conservation measures the U. <br />S. Fish and Wildlife Service believes are necessary to mitigate the affect the depletion <br />may have on the four endangered species. The conservation measures inGude a one time <br />contribution of $2,234.42 to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
